The "CenterBrain Story."
CenterBrain Partners was founded in 1991 by Jim Ebel. The name CenterBrain Partners is the embodiment of the unique services offered by this one-of-a-kind positioning consultancy.

Jim built a career in new products at consumer products giant Kimberly-Clark, had taken a sabbatical to manage the Milwaukee Ballet, and had moved on to work in executive positions with Drackett and the Iams company before conceptualizing CenterBrain at age 30. Along the way he had employed his share of consultants and ad agencies, and began to notice a large gap in services offered and results delivered.

Why CenterBrain? On the one hand there are strategic (left-brained) consultants. These are the brightest of the bright. They are able to organize and create a vision for a business, but often unable to capitalize on this thinking with creative ideas to go to market. On the other hand are advertising agencies. Their stock in trade is (right-brained) creativity. The creative genius is evident in their idea generation, but it rarely matches up with the pragmatics of a business strategy. Both sides don't recognize the important realities of how to position and merchandise the brand pragmatically so that the buyers at Wal*Mart and Costco will fall in love with and support your new or improved brand. A corporate marketing director is left to shepherd the sometimes warring sides to common a ground, a frustrating, costly and time consuming process.

CenterBrain combines a blend of natural creativity and trained business acumen. Since 1991, it has grown to include a partnership of the best CenterBrain minds. Each partner has had extensive senior level corporate experience averaging 25 years with Fortune 100 companies. They have also been successful entrepreneurs themselves. Unlike most consultants, we don't send out the "big guns" to sign you up and then turn the work over to "junior partners". We work on your business.
